I've always wondered what other people's safe houses looked like. If you would like to post a picture of your safe house, post it here so other people can see them and maybe get ideas from them! I can't post mine because I don't know how.. hahaha...

2. Open image editing program of your choice (MS paint I'm guessing)
3. Prest Ctrl+V
4. Save image

the problem with that is it doesn't work in fullscreen mode.

You could also download the free version of "Gadwin PrintScreen" : http://www.gadwin.com/download/ (at the very bottom is the free version - no ads, just great, free and easy to use)

In the Gadwin configuration screens set up a directory where you want the screenshots to be saved (also format, quality, filename, etc.) and set up a key to use for making screenshots.
Start the game and every time you press the key you configured, a screenshot will be created in the folder you specified.
That way you don't have to leave the game, can screenshot away and edit them after your playsession to your liking.

It's just one of many free programs of that type, but it's what I was using for the past few years. (Not for Project Zomboid though, so if you get only pure black screenshots, there may be a problem with the Gadwin program in combination with the OpenGL renderer, but you can give it a try none the less if you like)

I took a few pics of my fort... I had to edit them so they're brighter i'll probably post more when I get my fort more finished, it's not even half done :3 I still have to wall up the glass on the furniture store.

its funny because those don't look like fort pictures. they look like you just walking around downtown. which one is the fort? your in like 4 separate buildings!

i know it doesn't look like much... but I've triple barricaded all the windows/extraneous doors, on the first floor, or have put walls in front of them.

Things im working on:

Short Term
*put a second layer of doors to get in to the house (would have done already, but need hinges/handles, which are 4 map cells away)

*barricade and wall off the barn for storage (all I've done so far is looted it)

Long Term

*completely seal off the barn, and make it only accessible by walking across a bridge from safehouse

*build my own freestanding structure, rather than building on previously generated ones (not important/useful, just sounds entertaining.



Also, keep in mind I have another complete safehouse (possibly with even more supplies) in the main map cell. It is even more impressive as far as carpentry skill. I had to flee to the farmhouse when a horde wanted to sell me a fire extinguisher, and have grown to like it away from all the action. the horde had since dispersed around my original house, and left it intact (I left before any major damage was done), so It's perfectly fine to live in now.

PS: If your game is lagging, download gamebooster by IObits (its why my taskbar looks like windows 98 or something instead of windows 7 which is what im running). it make the game run much smoother for me. http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html

As for myself, I haven't really played enough to get a feel for the safer areas. I'll be doing a lot more searching for a suitable safe house soon... I hear the villas are relatively popular.
