Personally i do not like this steam decision as steam can be a right pain but good on ya guys this wil bring in some much needed moolah with which to finish the game.

You aren't being forced to use steam, it's an option. If you would rather not, they will still be hosting it on their own servers.

I buy from Steam whenever possible. I like having all my games in one place.

I have a huge collection of games on steam, but it isn't even a tenth of my collection of games in CD/Cartridge form... Lets see, my steam is worth around 7000-9000$ if we use 40 to 50$ as the price for most of the games ;0).

Even still, I bought a copy from them earlier and will likely keep my copy off of steam, why? Because updates to games on steam can take WEEKS past the time that you could have gotten it, and if it's a beta patch? Not going to happen ;0).

Steam? There is no worst option available? I don't want a platform where I can't even select the folder where I want to install my games.

It's opt-in, you can still get the game from Indie Stone directly. And they aren't going to be exclusive. So chill.

P.s. i LOVE steam

I'm actually very happy about this. It means that I won't have to make a Desura... thing to play one of my favorite games. Not that I have anything against Desura, Origin, or any service of the like other than Steam, mind you, it's just that most of my games are Steam games and it's nice to have a central hub to access them from.

This is definitely a feature I am looking forward to, even moreso than getting my wood back from destroyed door barricades. =P
