I've followed Project Zomboid since December 2011 and I'm really amazed to see what happend since then.
I plan to do a few mods and maybe even a full story, because I'm a huge Zombie fan and for me PZ is, until now, the best Zombie game I've seen

Hi, new member here. I've been lurking now and then for a few months and finally stopped being lazy long enough to register Love the game, bought it awhile ago, I've been into zombies since I was a wee lad and this is the game I was waiting for. I'm really impressed by everything here, I am a senior embedded tester at Zenimax Online Studios in Hunt Valley, MD, and I've been spreading the word to get some other folks from work to pick the game up.

Looking forward to figuring out the mod tools when I get some free time, have a 6-month old though so between him and work, free time is really a thing of the past

Hello you new folks, welcome to PZ.

Hello! I stumbled across Project Zomboid while going around YouTube, after hours of watching other people play i picked it up myself. Probably the first time I've bought an indie game by itself, since I'm usually buying them in packs like in the Humble bundle ^^.
I'm currently getting my friends into it as well for when multi-player appears :O
some similar games i play are Minecraft and Dwarf Fortress, but my favorite game of all time is Dungeon Keeper

Greetings survivors. My name is DreadBeard. I won't tell you my real name, but this callsign was mine long before WoW popularized it. I thought it original when I had dreads, and a beard. I can't not have a beard, actually. Ever since grade 8.

I'm a cook. I own a lot of knives, including a Sheffeild made vietnam era Machete that I got from a junk store and refurbished. I named it Old English. I sharpen it in between breaks from PZ and work.

I'm a nice person, generally even tempered in a good mood and polite. However, I secretely despise most people. I find them despicable even. I'm not sure if this make me a bad person, or a sociopath, but if they ever did turn in to zombies; I wouldn't hesitate.

That said, I love your game. I've always been a fan of well made RPG's, since EOB2 and Fallout 1. Nothing being be said of pen & paper. You lot have come a long way and your efforts are commendable. Now that I have purchased a liscence I will be more active in the community, and am very much looking forward to your future releases.

How do I got here? Simply from googling "indie game communities".

I joined this site basically to get some feedback for my games. Even though I've posted on GameDev and TIGSource forums, for some reason I get no feedback, rants, reviews, nothing. I'd be fine with that, but it's pretty necessary for a game developer to know if the game was successful and seeing as I give my games for free, feedback's the only way to know. I'm not sure if it's just the format I do my games in (zip-file that includes an executable) or is it the way I introduce them or do they really suck so much they're not even worth checking out. Can't tell, and hopefully I'll find an answer here.

About myself, I'm a 20-year old Finnish male spiecies who likes gaming, cartoons, anime, manga, comics, hanging out with my girlfriend and obviously developing games. Currently I'm employed in an IT-company, but in August I'm starting school again and I will be studying programming.

That's about it, hopefully we'll get along!

Howdy folks!

After playing the demo last night for a few hours I was sold on the game instantly. After a brief moment of reading up I purchased the game a little while ago. Glad to see the dwarf fortress mentality spreading to other genres, though that statement did make me wonder how appropriate the comparison will pan out to be. For me, "surviving" in DF for 100s of years despite all odds is what keeps me coming back to it, even after the crippling defeat of my ridiculously elaborate fortress. I hope that while this is sold as "the story of your death" that there'll be plenty of ways to survive inordinate amounts of time. It's easy to make it impossible but a fine art to give several possibilities leading to the highly improbable.

But enough about what I hope the game will turn out to be, that's not why I'm here.

After seeing heartwarming bugs with even the character creation in the sandbox and the seemingly random ability to swing and completely miss at stuff that's right in front of you I can really appreciate the state of the game. It's admirable in its unrefined gory glory

So, I wish you the best of luck with the development process, I thank you for being the ones to make a game a lot of people don't even realise they want yet and finally, congratulations on reinforcing the best style of indie development!

Just got into indie games the past few months. Pretty much horror indie only. Slender, Which, Amnesia, Anna, Forget Me Not Annie, SCP Containment Breach, Penumbra stuff like that.
